Hypotension is a condition in which blood pressure is less than 120/80 millimeters of mercury . It is also known as low blood pressure. Blood pressure of 120/80 mm Hg is considered normal blood pressure of a healthy person. In some cases, low blood pressure is a sign of a good health such as people who exercise and are on a good physical condition. For many people low blood pressure may cause fainting or dizziness or shows severe endocrine, heart or neurological disorders. If blood pressure is significantly low, it may deny the supply of nutrients, oxygen to brain and other important organs, and lead to shock – a dangerous condition.
