Osteoporosis is a disease in which your bones become weak and brittle. They can break easily. It is the most common disease in older women. After the age of 50, people develop this disease more frequently. Osteoporosis means porous bone.
Half of all women and quarter of men break their bones in this stage due to osteoporosis. Most often the hip, wrist and spine bones can break. Bone is a living tissue. In our lifespan it breaks and reconstructed again. As a person gets older, the reconstruction capacity decreases.
