Pacemaker is a tiny machine placed beneath your chest skin or abdomen. It helps to control abnormal heart rhythms.

There are electrical heart pulses that help the heart to beat at normal rate. Very slow, fast or irregular heart rhythms are treated with the help of the pacemaker. The abnormal heart rhymes are known as arrhythmias.

Some symptoms related arrhythmias like fainting and fatigue are also relieved by pacemaker.

The natural pacemaker is known as sinoatrial node  or sinus node. It is situated in the upper side of right atrium of the heart. Right atrium is an upper chamber of the heart.

It produces the electrical impulses. This causes your heart to beat. An electrical impulse moves across the heart chamber resulting in the contraction of the heart.
